Ear wax appointments run inside these hours. Saturday mornings are popular with people who work through the week, so book those a little further ahead.
Getting here
The pharmacy sits on Canterbury Road (the B5213), the main road linking Urmston town centre with Davyhulme Circle and Trafford General Hospital.
- On foot from Urmston centre: head up Higher Road and onto Canterbury Road; the walk takes around ten minutes from the station.
- By bus: services along Canterbury Road and Davyhulme Road stop within a short walk of the door. Buses from Stretford, Flixton and the Trafford Centre area all pass close by.
- By car: we are a few minutes from junction 9 of the M60 via Trafford Park Road, or straight along the B5213 from Flixton and Urmston. On-street parking on and around Canterbury Road is normally easy to find, and free.
- Landmarks: if you know Davyhulme, we are close to the Circle and a short hop from Davyhulme Park. If you reach Trafford General you have gone a little too far north.

For non-urgent questions, write to davyhulmepharmacy@gmail.com and the pharmacy team will come back to you during opening hours. For booking, phone or the online calendar is much quicker, and anything urgent about a painful or leaking ear should go to your GP or NHS 111 rather than an inbox.
Before you travel
Two things make the visit smoother. First, if you can, soften the wax with olive oil for three to five days beforehand, unless you have a perforated eardrum, grommets or any ear discharge, in which case skip the drops and just mention it when booking. Second, if your ear is painful, leaking or your hearing dropped suddenly, do not book a wax appointment: contact your GP or NHS 111 first, and treat sudden one-sided hearing loss as a same-day emergency. A note on what we can help with
This clinic removes ear wax by microsuction for adults aged 18 and over. Prescriptions, medicines advice and the pharmacy's other services are all available in the same visit, so feel free to bring the rest of your list. What we cannot do is treat ear infections or investigate hearing loss that is not wax; for those we will point you to the right place without charging you.
